What is the availability at Duchy Cottage?

Are bedlinen and towels included?

Yes, for use in the cottage, but please bring beach towels if venturing into the sea.

Is there parking at Duchy Cottage?

There is no designated parking, however, it’s fine to stop outside to unload then we suggest guests park in the main carpark just off Hanson Drive which is roughly a 8 minute walk away.

You can find current car parking charges, including a weekly ticket rate here.

Do you have disabled access?

There is a narrow staircase to first floor bedrooms and bathroom facilities, this makes it unsuitable for those who cannot access first floor without assistance.

What are your check in and check out times?

Check in is at 4pm, and check out by 10am – there is some flexibility out of the main season.

Is there an outside seating area?

Yes, there’s a split level courtyard with table and chairs for outside dining.

Is Duchy Cottage within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and cafes?

Yes, all can be reached by a short walk down to the quay, but the return journey is up hill.

Can we store bikes?

Yes, either in the courtyard or outhouse.

Do you accept pets?

Regrettably, we are unable to accept pets.

Is smoking or vaping permitted in the cottage?

Duchy Cottage operates a strict no smoking or vaping inside the cottage policy, however, smoking and vaping is permitted in the courtyard.

Do you have Supermarkets nearby?

Yes, there are Asda, Tesco, and Aldi in St Austell, all approximately within 7 to 8 miles. They also offer delivery to the Fowey area.

How do we access keys for the cottage?

Via a keysafe, details will be given in the week prior to arrival.

How do I contact the owners during my stay?

Email and telephone details are given prior to arrival. Full details can also be found inside the welcome book in the cottage.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made in writing to the owners.  Cancellation of your holiday up to 60 days before check-in will be eligible for a 100% refund of the amount you have paid. If you cancel between 30 and 60 days before check-in, you will be eligible for a 50% refund of the amount you have paid. If you cancel 30 days before check-in you will not be eligible to receive any refund. However, we will endeavour to re-let the property and if successful, will provide a partial refund based on your payment less any re-advertising costs and any rate achieved through re-advertising – which may be at a reduced rate.

We strongly recommend that you take out insurance against cancellation of your holiday.
